Gideon, Part 2

Preacher:
Passage: Judges 7-8

Part 2 of the story of Gideon highlights God’s sufficiency for our day-to-day life, His power to transform us for the better, and the grace and patience that we find in Jesus.

Reflection-

How does my lack of faith in God’s sufficiency manifest in my life?

How should God’s patience and grace with my fears and insecurities affect my relationships with others?

What practices and rhythms do I do regularly that are helping to form me into the person God wants me to be or are distorting the person that God wants me to be?

Further Up, Further In-
“ It is not the number of books you read, nor the variety of sermons you hear, nor the amount of religious conversation in which you mix, but it is the frequency and earnestness with which you
meditate on these things till the truth in them becomes your own and part of your being, that ensures your growth.” – Frederick W. Robertson

It is possible, like Gideon, to move from a place of walking closely with God to a place far from Him. Consider the quote above with your Going Deeper Group, family, friend, or spiritual mentor. Do you earnestly transformation in Jesus or do you simply read your bible and pray just to check off boxes?
