Samson, Part 1
Unlike the other Judges, Samson was called and set apart before he was even born. His birth itself was a miracle. He was destined for greatness, and yet his volatile and selfish behaviour often failed to live up to his calling. What can we learn from Samson for our own lives today?
Reflection-
Where is there dissonance between who you are and how you behave?
Do you want to be filled with the Spirit? What do I need to do to start pursuing that in my life?

Further Up, Further In-
Prayerfully read and reflect on Acts 1:12-2:47, and Acts 4:23-27. These are both examples of fillings of the Spirit in the NT. What do you see in these passages? What precedes the filling of the Spirit? What accompanies the filling of the Spirit? What are the results of the filling of the Spirit? Look at Peter’s life before the filling of the Spirit, Matthew 26:69-75, and after, Acts 2:1-4:22. What difference did the filling of the Spirit make in his life? What can you apply to your life starting this week?
