The God Who is Holy
This past Sunday we continued our new series in the complicated but beautiful Old Testament book of Hosea, looking at an aspect of God and His dealings with humanity that is often misunderstood and caricatured or neglected because we find it uncomfortable or offensive, but is very real and we need to reckon with it – His holiness and His judgment.
We hope this teaching helps you wherever you are on your spiritual journey.
Further Up, Further In-
Take time this week to prayerfully reflect on Isaiah 6:1-8 and Revelation 1:9-20. What do Isaiah and John see? What is their reaction? Why is that their reaction? How does God/Jesus react to them? What does He do? How do Isaiah and John respond? Why do you think they responded the way they did? Do you have a sense of the holiness of God like this? How do you think that’s affecting you? Ask God for whatever revelation of the holiness of God you need.
