Why Pray?

Preacher:
Passage: Luke 11:1-13

This past Sunday we explored the question, why pray? A lot of us know prayer is a thing and it is important, but why? How does it work? What does it do?

We hope this teaching helps you wherever you are on your spiritual journey.

Reflection-
Do you see prayer as a gift?
What is one thing you can do this week to pray more?

Further Up, Further In-

To help you pray more this week, take Jesus’ prayer from Luke 11:1-4 and each day pray a line from this prayer. Pray to know God as Father more deeply. Pray to surrender those parts of your life that are not under His Lordship yet. Pray for His will to be done in your life and your spheres of influence. Pray for Him to show you all of the ways He has taken care of you and provided for you over the years. Pray for the grace to love ____ as you have been loved. Pray for the power to resist and finally break free from ____ and live in the way of Jesus more fully. Journal your prayers and share the experience with others (family, friends, roommates, Going Deeper Group).
